The Parachutists Over Phorty Society (POPS) have members across the world with 27 National organisations. The first POPS was founded in 1966 in the USA, with its World identity begin to be shaped at first World POPS Championships in Australia in 1989. The POPS global community that was further strengthened by the election of Mike Allum as the first World TopPOP at the third WPC in Spain in 1995.

The UK National organisation was started in 1978. POPS UK currently has membership numbers of about 1250. POPS membership is available to all UK parachutists /skydivers over the age of 40, POPS is a life time membership and enables you to join all the events, record attempts and whether still jumping or retired from jumping be forever part of the POPS community, all for the sum of £20.
